With Thanksgiving this week, the holiday season is officially in full swing! As a reminder, Southland Data Processing will be closed in observance of Christmas Day (observed on Friday, December 24) and New Year’s Day (observed on Friday, December 31).
Because these holidays fall on a Saturday this year, the Federal Reserve will remain open the preceding Friday.
Additionally, Southland Data Processing will be closing early on Friday, December 3rd at 3 PM PT.
December Holiday Payroll Reminders:
- If your check date is Friday, December 24 (SDP Closed), your processing deadline will not be affected by the Christmas holiday. You will need to process by 2 PM PT on Wednesday, December 22, as usual.
- Similarly, if your check date is Monday, December 27, your processing deadline also will not be affected by the Christmas holiday. You will need to process by 2 PM PT on Thursday, December 23, as usual.
- If your check date is Tuesday, December 28, your processing deadline will be affected by the Christmas holiday. You will need to process by 2 PM PT on Thursday, Dec. 23.
- Finally, since New Year’s Day also falls on a Saturday (SDP closed the preceding Friday), Dec. 31 and Jan. 3 check dates will not be affected, but Tuesday, Jan. 4 check dates will need to process a day early by 2 PM PT on Thursday, Dec. 30.
